One-Line Bio

A mid-life woman, business owner, sometimes corporate-type, now trying to live with her own voice inside and out

Biography

This story started in 2006. Someone said I might share my experiences about finding a meaningful career on a blog. It would help my business, he said.

I decided to try it. I like new technology anyway.

And I liked this café metaphor, because what is life anyway if not a long exploration of ideas and options as discussed over a table?

Three years later, I'm still blogging. Those of you who send emails or talk with me about the posts have greatly helped me take the ideas further. Thank you.

This year, I will open an actual studio for my business. Café-style. I may never know how much this experience of reflecting ideas on a blog helped me get there...

I remain deeply in awe of what trying the next step in life can bring.

Interests

You'll find a lot about me professionally at my business website: www.jalle.com or via Linked-In. Personally, I love being outside in the sunshine and trying almost anything new with friends. This blog is also one of those new things I'm trying. I've also tried living in several USA states, London and Zurich. Zurich is my favorite. I jog a few times a week so that I can eat & drink what I like. I reward myself often with chocolate or prosecco for good thoughts or at least trying to learn something. I've taken-up new hobbies here and there -- golf, fly-fishing, skiing -- but none of them stick as an obsession. I would always prefer to spend my time talking & laughing with friends and family.
