Freshly-squeezed, original juice combinations. A home-made soup-of-the-day. Sandwiches. Salads. Not the cheapest, but warm, busy and friendly.
I started coming here 10 years ago because it fit perfectly on a Saturday shopping day. Get in-and-out quickly yet great quality and casual. Not big...and sometimes chaotic. The owner Dani's own story and voice is worth hearing. He has built a business and a life. He encourages me to try a new juice...and smiles if I go back to my old favorites. Perfect!
I have 2 favourite cafes in Zürich.
1. Starbucks at Stauffacher opened at the end of 2004, the first year we were here. It has an upstairs with tables and laptop plug in points and in 2006 I started working at Starbucks and this helped me to finally finish my thesis!
2. My other favourite cafe is Cafe Felix or Schober in Spiegelgasse, in the Niederdorf. It's small, über kitsch, expensive and does the BEST hot chocolate!
