Last Friday, I shuffled from kitchen to living room sofa with a cup of coffee at 5:30 a.m., trying to wake up but mostly sitting in a fog for a few minutes. By 8:00 a.m., I would be on my way to my SECOND appointment of the day. My meetings were scheduled well into late afternoon. It was that kind of week.
I glanced randomly out the window and discovered a surprise: a single lily had bloomed overnight in my garden box. A first flower among the new plants! Immediately my energy changed. I grabbed my camera. And for a few minutes delightedly enjoyed the reward of being a gardener. At a perfect moment to help me forget my fatigue.
I remembered that feeling all day.
This little lily reminded me why to persevere through change and try new things: because sometimes the best reward happens when you least expect it, charming you with a fresh energy that makes it all somehow worthwhile.
Hurrah, a lily!
What a positive, concrete sign of your success & what a wonderful metaphor for your blog :-)
