Time for my favorite annual gardening-as-life analogy. On Saturday, a friend showed me one of the more beautiful garden centers I've seen here so far. I scooped up a few more herbs for my garden box and happily planted them before 10:00 a.m. during today's lovely sunny Sunday morning. Here they are: already looking more hopeful than the giants of 2007 . Let the 2009 growing season begin. May it bring small, positive steps forward that show in time.
