Tonight while walking home I finally stopped - spontaneously on a perfect last summer or maybe first Autumn evening - to watch the sun set on the lake. One of my favorite feelings with the breeze, the sounds, the warmth.
Lots of people gather for it. Then the minute the golden ball sinks over Uetliberg hill, they all walk away.
Not me anymore. I've learned to wait for the real colors that follow.
Took me years to learn to wait. I'm going through a little sunset at work, too. I tried to explain this feeling today to some important colleagues that it is important to wait a while to see the real colors. So many emotions go into decisions. It's hard to wait to see what the evening brings, not to mention the nighttime stars and the sunrise.
Maybe I should have brought us all to the lake for a beer! Sometimes nature explains things better than words.

lovely post! I am excited to hear more about the changes that come to you after the sun finishes setting :-)
