Last night, I managed to land at home just before midnight. The Professional Women's Group of Zurich held its monthly event, which is turning into a rather large affair these days. More than 80 participants, plus last night we invited four speakers and a professional photographer. Our all-volunteer team nearly hosts a conference every month now. My role facilitating so many invited guests was a bit more challenging than normal - a good little stretch and practice for me professionally too.
After three years, I find PWG rewarding because our members seem to thrive on the energy and to genuinely appreciate our efforts. So of course I felt good about the whole thing.
But then when I was home, I could not settle down to sleep. I needed an energy outlet for myself personally. Reading wouldn't do it. I couldn't turn up my stereo at that hour.
Finally, I ate some chocolate chip cookies at 3 a.m.
Tonight will also end late after a team dinner.
I wonder what I will do then?!
